2009 Charitable Giving Recipients
Posted November 22, 2009 8:00PM
Our club was very fortunate this year to be able to contribute funds to several worthy local charitable organizations:
$2,000 to Harbor House of Rochester, which is dedicated to providing a home-away-from-home for patients and their families who must travel to Upstate NY for heart failure and transplant care.
$2,000 to NYS Sheriff’s Association’s Summer Camp for Kids, which in the past 30 years has hosted over 11,000 boys and girls from economically challenged family environments.
$1,000 to Wease Cares Children’s Fund, which benefits children in the WNY area by providing clothing, food, games, computers, educational needs, and bedding, for children in need.
$1,000 to Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, which is near and dear to our hearts because they were instrumental in the successful liver transplant of a good friend of ours, Ricky Hoyt. Ricky is Rick Hoyt’s son, who as you know works with our friends at Eksten Autoworks.
Thank you to all of these organizations for doing what they do on a daily basis for members of our community. We are honored to be able to provide these financial contributions.

New DE event just added to schedule
Posted March 24, 2009 9:00PM
Niagara Region is pleased to announce a new addition to our DE program – an Advanced/Solo DE on June 24/25, 2009. Entry fee is only $385 and registration is now open at Club Registration.
This unique DE format will include two run groups, with some sessions being combined. Each driver will receive LOTS of track time! All standard PCA safety protocols and passing rules will be in effect. Due to the nature of this event, the number of drivers accepted is very limited. The first 50 drivers to register AND PAY will be assigned a garage space at no additional cost. This event will sell out, so early registration is highly encouraged.
This event is for advanced track drivers and provides the opportunity to develop your high performance driving skills. Instructors, while not assigned, will be available for consultation on an individual basis. Soloed drivers, primarily from the Black (advanced) and Red (instructors) run groups are eligible to participate. If you are unsure if you qualify for admittance, please contact our Chief Instructor Rich DeAsis.
Come join the Niagara Region PCA at Watkins Glen for this extraordinary track event!
